Bad weather!

Since I managed to pick up Strep Throat with my chemo-caused low white blood cell count, from now on Juan-Lucky-Shopper gets to be the only one going to the grocery in our family!

Last night, before the cold front hit, Juan found empty shelves at the store and took a picture to show me.

I guess us Southerners don't take cold weather too well!

  1. Oh, my, GOODNESS! That's shocking. It hasn't stopped snowing here since Sunday, at least. I'm glad I don't encounter those problems or else I'd never be able to get any food.

Stay warm! and HEALTHY. Hope your sore throat is better.

  2. I'm with ya gal - EWWWWW - I do not like cold weather at all!!! I am trying not to B____ about it too much or whine but I get the blues and tend to hibernate so my new technique this year was to make cards for my business and card create I did! It really helped. I would like to send you one instead of strep or a loaf of bread so please email me your address to: threegracesmd@hotmail.com Jennifer with hugs

  4. You have to take care of yourself dear. I hope your feeling better. As for the cold bad weather even us in Kansas aren't liking it very much right now... it is -20 degrees today!! I haven't been out but to feed and water the dog and get the mail since Samantha's wedding. I am looking forward to catching up my dear. You take care of yourself.

  5. I don't have a "clue" what that is all about. We don't really have "weather" here so we never need to prepare for a thing! After all we are having our days out here in the upper 70's! Maybe you need to come out for a visit in the warm California sunshine!
    Take care girl, Sue

  11. Personally, I think it's just as excuse to over eat...as in "I need to order TWO Big Mac's in case I get snowed in!".
Sorry about the strep bug...hope it doesn't linger long. Try and eat something even if your throat feels like you're swallowing razor blades.

  13. Sending warming hugs from Oz... its balmy and sweaty and humid as heck (how humid is heck, I wonder?) down here. I am sitting here in a singlet and 3/4 jeans looking over the ocean. Hoping the pain of your weather and your throat ease quickly.

  17. Texas Woman you never would know there was anything wrong with you..You are certainly a blessing to me..Girl you just amaze me with your spirit..I just love to visit you..Instead of leaving you a blessing I always pick one up from you..How long were you sick before you found out for sure..I know I am very sick..I just have no insurance right now..I can't afford to go to the doctor..But I have some major problems going on inside my body..I am really to scared to find out I think Texas Woman..You are such an inspiration to me...I love your Attitude..if I visit everyday maybe it will rub off on me...
