The light at the end of the tunnel!

Tunnels aren't always made up of rocks and dirt but they all have one thing in common - the light at their end!

And I'm thinkin' I'm seeing the light at the end of mine. MD Anderson is only a week away now. It's been a long, dreary wait.

My BRCA1 and BRCA2 genetic tests came back showing no mutations, a good thing for Sis and me and our children and grandchildren.

The oncology surgeon I consulted for a second opinion first agreed with me about the treatment I have decided upon. MDAnderson will give me the first opinion second. This cancer stuff sure is confusing, isn't it?

Schoolmarm, designated dater of my youngest son Kid Coffee, taught me how to swallow pills...with a bite of banana! I'm workin' on it daily and I've noticed that the price of bananas at the supermarket has gone down considerably since I started buying so many!

And finally, my new tat is in place.

No, not on me...

...on Kid Coffee!

  11. What a great guy! And it's evident by the strength of his mom - love and strength - a dyn-o-mite combination - watch out all you silly mutant cancer cells- we're coming for you - so say good-bye to this sweet woman - it's adios to you, bad cells and welcome home all the goor strong cells..

    Sing along with me..

"every little cell in my body is happy..
Every little cell in my body is well..

every little cell, in my body..
every little cell is happy and well."

Take care and even though it's a tough club to get into- welcome and you know, it only chooses the best, the one's who will fight the good fight and be around to spread the news..

    Start spreddin' the news !!

Ya know, kick it where it hurts...
Tat boy, Kid Coffee... what a sweetie heart. My tat boy by love is the sweetest kid you could ever meet. They just like wearing their lives on the outside as opposed to us, who hide everything on the inside.

  17. Wow, that was so sweet of your son. You've got a great family to love and support you...you are blessed.

I can't imagine how confusing it is to decide on treatments, etc. I have a hard time deciding to get the flu shot or not.
