  1. When I was a kid, I had a pet squirrel. His name was Oscar. I raised him from a baby. Sometimes visitors would come to our house and wouldn't notice him for a while. Then they'd get a puzzled look and say something like, "Did you know there's a squirrel sitting on the back of your sofa?"

Oscar liked to play. Sometimes I had homework to do. He wouldn't take no for an answer. He could snatch a pencil out of your hand and gnaw it to shreds in about 5 seconds flat.

He liked to go outside and play. His favorite game was "run up your leg." I would give a little kick and send him flying through the air. His feet would be running before he even hit the ground. Great fun!

But, as he got older, his mind turned to female squirrels and he started getting ornery. He even bit the mailman. So I put his home in a tree behind my grandma's house. He hung around for a while. Eventually, he moved on. Call of the wild, I guess.

  3. Have you seen the movie "Funny Farm?" I saw that squirrel and thought of that movie.

  4. Cute squirrel. Looks perfect there. My friend has a flying squirrel loose in her house. She was NOT happy. Your squirrel looks like a nice, calm little guy.

  6. My dog would love Squirrelly MacClain. However I don't think it would be a good idea for them to meet. She's cute as can be though.

  7. Where the heck is my comment from earlier? I swear I work my tail(Sorry about that, Squirrely) to come up with something clever to write and then it doesn't post. AAGH! And I'm too old to remember what I wrote. It was funny I promise. I do know I was slapping my knees this morning laughing my A#* off when I saw her in a baby tiara. Great post, as usual, Cher. Thanks for making this a lot of fun! Debbie
